Sutra Reading and Pot Luck Lunch

Join us in welcoming our abbot, Venerable Khenpo Kalsang Gyaltsen, back to Sakya Phuntsok Ling on Sunday, March 3, during the Month of Miracles.

Khenpo Kalsang will be accompanied by a special guest, Venerable Khenpo Khenrab Woser, who is a graduate of both Sakya College and International Buddhist Academy. Khenpo Woser previously served for a number of years as a professor at Sakya College, and as a teacher at Rikon Institute in Switzerland.

During this Month of Miracles, it is traditional to gather together to read the sutras aloud, resounding the teachings of Lord Buddha in the world for all to hear. On this occasion, Khenpo Woser will lead us in a traditional reading of a number of sutras translated by Khenpo Kalsang Gyaltsen that have recently been published by the 84000 Project in their efforts to bring the entire Tibetan Buddhist canon into English.

The sutra reading will be followed by a potluck lunch and opportunity to visit with Khenpo Woser and the sangha.
